SPARKS, Nev., March 25, 2021 – Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), the global aerospace and national security company owned by Eren and Fatih Ozmen, successfully delivered two Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) aircraft upgraded with SNC’s own Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) system to the U.S. Army Project Director Sensors Aerial Intelligence (SAI). SNC is the prime systems integrator for the Army’s GRCS fleet.

GRCS aircraft have been providing a key Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (AISR) capability for special mission operations for more than 45 years. SNC has provided multi-sensor integration services for the fleet since 2019 in support of the Army’s effort to replace the fleet’s aging ELINT system, and ensure this important future capability for GRCS.
SNC has more than 15 years of King Air modification and integration heritage, leveraging 800,000+ hours of operational experience on special mission platforms for a wide array of government and military customers.
To date, SNC has provided two aircraft for the GRCS fleet used to detect and protect the nation against emerging threats. SNC will continue to perform work covered by this contract from its facilities in Hagerstown, Maryland.
