Veteran Spotlight: Chris T.

Veterans play a critical role in SNC’s success; they make up around 30% of our workforce, and their continued service is an integral part of our operations.

Chris T. retired from the U.S. Air Force and is now an Aircraft Schedule and Dispatch Coordinator III at SNC.

Relay for Life, 2001While in the USAF, Chris started as an Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice (also known as Crew Chief) working on the KC-135 air refueling tanker. After several years of traveling and multiple deployments, Chris retrained and his subsequent career included being a flight engineer for HC-130Ps, then working for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) in Hurlburt Field, FL as an Operations/Squadron Superintendent.

During his time on active duty at Hurlburt Field, Chris became familiar with SNC and our mission. Although he was retiring from the USAF, Chris wanted to continue supporting national security. Fortunately, one of his friends informed him of the career opportunities at SNC, and Chris applied. Shortly after, he received approval to start his SkillBridge Internship with us.

Now, Chris works with the Manned ISR contractor logistics support (CLS) program where he continues to demonstrate his commitment to the mission. As an Aircraft Schedule and Dispatch Coordinator, Chris works directly with our customers to plan and execute daily flight operations and facilitate development of long-range flying, maintenance, and modification schedules.

Outside of his work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also retired from the Air Force. The couple enjoys spending time with their three dogs, exercising, traveling, trying new cuisines, music festivals, trekking through nature, and even taking to the water with some paddle-boarding or kayaking.
