SNC Hires Jim Hanley as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives

SPARKS, Nev., December 3, 2024 – SNC, a global leader in aerospace and defense, welcomes industry veteran Jim Hanley as vice president of strategic initiatives within its Missions Systems & Technologies (MST) business area. Hanley brings nearly three decades of experience in strategic planning, program management, and business development. In his new role, Hanley will support strategic initiatives and lead the AUKUS growth strategy across SNC and its subsidiaries to strengthen their integrated solution offerings and meet growing national security needs.

Hanley joins SNC following a 16-year career at ManTech, where he held various and growing leadership roles, including Vice President, Naval Aviation Division Manager and Program Manager.

 Hanley also brings a vast and distinguished military career. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, holding various leadership positions throughout his 27-year military career. As a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Hanley was responsible for training and readiness programs. While serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Hanley was an FA-18 Weapons Systems Officer and Weapons and Tactics Instructor.

Hanley holds an MBA from Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He is also a graduate of the USMC Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, WTI, and Navy Fighter Weapons School, TOPGUN.
