SNC Hires Debora Meyer to Lead Human Resources Team

Debora Meyer is the Sr. Vice President of Human Resources for Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), a global aerospace and national security leader headquartered in Sparks, NV.  She brings nearly three decades of broad HR experience from leading companies in their respective industries. 

Meyer leads the company’s overarching people strategy. She leverages her extensive background to identify talent and organizational strengths to build and scale the company’s HR capabilities, operations, and functions to support evolving business priorities as SNC continues to grow. 

Meyer has multiple successes in defining and implementing performance-based infrastructures and incentive plans that improve organizational outcomes. She joins SNC from Kaiser Permanente, where she served as the most senior executive HR leader for the organization. During her tenure at Kaiser, Meyer led the organization through significant transformation and developed numerous leadership programs for employees at all levels that supported acceleration of diverse talent. Meyer also held various progressive leadership roles at Northrup Grumman over the course of 16 years.

Her commitment to leadership development accelerated the company’s performance in recruiting, developing, and retaining talent from underrepresented groups and created the talent pipeline for the future workforce.   

Prior to Kaiser Permanente, Meyer spent much of her career with Northrup Grumman, where she initially served as a hands-on Senior Human Resource Manager for the information technology and environmental systems business units. She ultimately served as Vice President of Human Resources & Administration, where she was responsible for crafting and executing the people strategy for the organization . During her time with the company, she augmented the health and retiree benefits program for long-term sustainability and restructured the executive compensation programs. In her previous position as interim Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Meyer designed and developed strategies to recruit, hire, and retain critical C-level executives while championing cross-functional, company-wide change management efforts.  

Meyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Radford University and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  Additionally, she holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a Certified Compensation Specialist, and a Certified Benefits Specialist. Meyer was named San Francisco Business Times’s 2019 Most Influential Women in the Bay Area Business.
