SNC Establishes Nebraska Footprint, Joins Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce

  • SNC has joined the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce as the company ramps up work in the Omaha area under the U.S. Air Force’s SAOC contract.
  • SAOC is a specialized aircraft that ensures critical airborne command, control and communication during national emergencies.

OMAHA, Neb. (April 10, 2025) – SNC, the global aerospace and national security company, is proud to announce it has joined the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. The move comes as SNC ramps up its work in the Omaha area on the U.S. Air Force’s Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) aircraft, which will replace the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC) aircraft that is currently headquartered at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska.

“As work on SAOC rapidly progresses, SNC looks forward to growing its presence in the Omaha and Bellevue communities and continuing the tradition of excellence that, for more than a century, has been associated with Offutt,” said Brady Hauboldt, vice president of business development, NC3 programs. “Joining the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce is only the first step in what we believe will radiate positive impacts across the Greater Omaha area as we work to support this essential national security program.”

Awarded in 2024, the SAOC contract replaces the existingE-4B Nightwatch, regularly seen flying in the Omaha area, with a modern E-4C aircraft. SAOC is a highly specialized aircraft trusted by the President and other top national security leaders to ensure critical airborne command, control and communication (C3) during national emergencies. SNC’s rich heritage of innovation for critical national security needs is central to delivering SAOC on time to the airmen at Offutt Air Force Base.

The USAF’s selection of SNC for the $13-billion-dollar SAOC program marks one of the largest aircraft modernization contracts awarded to a company other than the original aircraft manufacturer (OEM). The contract award signaled a new acquisition approach that prioritizes open systems and fosters innovation, speed and life-cycle cost competitiveness. SNC has championed this change as one of the only remaining private, mid-tier A&D prime contractors. Throughout its 60-year history, SNC has continually worked to expand the industrial base and deliver open architecture (OA) solutions across domains.

“Not only has southeast Nebraska long supported critical national security initiatives, but the academic institutions in the region are truly top notch when it comes to research, engineering, computer science, economics and other skillsets that are essential to giving America the edge it needs when it comes to defense technology innovation,” added Hauboldt. “With this in mind, SNC is optimistic about the possibilities for growth in the region over the coming years.”
