SNC Drives Innovation, Accelerates Growth Across INDOPACOM with South Australia Subsidiary, SNC AUS

ADELAIDE, Australia – [20 Nov 24] – SNC, a global leader in aerospace and defense, announces the launch of its newest subsidiary, SNC AUS. Based at Lot Fourteen, South Australia, this new location complements SNC’s existing presence in the United States and the United Kingdom, aligning with the AUKUS trilateral security partnership that is intended to “promote a free and open Indo-Pacific that is secure and stable.”

Located in the “Defence State,” SNC AUS seeks to create closer partnerships with the Australian government, business and academia built upon a foundation of Australian Industrial Capabilities. SNC’s intention is to augment Australia’s growing Industrial Base, creating a pipeline of future innovators and opening new technology job opportunities for Australian students. This growth will also help fulfill the Australian Industry Capability (AIC) requirements and pave the way for future Australian innovation by the end of 2025.

The opening of SNC AUS is a key component to SNC’s strategic growth plan and its intention to create robust future capabilities in the Australian defense sector.

“Starting in 2025, SNC plans to open its doors for additional Australian first line maintenance and software development support,” said Stu Wildman, SVP of business development and programs for SNC’s MST business area. “The addition of SNC AUS is integral to our ability to become an AUKUS approved vendor capable of providing innovative, Australia-built solutions to AUKUS customers.”

SNC AUS will focus on delivering SNC’s core capabilities and technologies across its AUKUS programs portfolio including common EW architecture, digital radio frequency (RF), Digital Grid™ and unmanned platforms and sensors.

“The establishment of SNC AUS will facilitate seamless integration, enabling SNC AUS, SNC US, and SNC UK to leverage content and capabilities across borders, enhancing the AUKUS partnership,” stated SNC AUS Managing Director, Josh Rooney. “This synergy will unlock previously untapped opportunities and foster the development of new, innovative products.”

SNC AUS will establish its headquarters at global innovation district, Lot Fourteen, a curated, collaborative research and business ecosystem dedicated to driving productivity and solving complex global challenges across space, defence and critical technologies.

Supported by the Australian and South Australian Government, Lot Fourteen was selected by SNC to maximise opportunities from co-locating with over 160 organisations including the Australian Space Agency, SmartSat CRC, Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, the Australian Institute for Machine Learning, Stone & Chalk and Amazon Web Services.

SNC is working with the South Australian Government and Australian Defence Force to ensure a smooth inauguration of SNC AUS.
