After the SpaceDev acquitision, SNC formed a new Space Systems Business Area which also included SNC’s subsidiary, MicroSat Systems, Inc., and the other SNC space operations and capabilities. SNC’s strategy of having an in-house satellite and space expertise is based on its vision of providing innovative net-centric solutions by synergistically connecting numerous platforms and domains from the Earth’s surface all the way to orbit.
MicroSat Systems, Inc.
SNC acquired MicroSat Systems, Inc. (MSI) in Littleton, Colorado, making MSI a wholly owned subsidiary of SNC. MSI was a leader in the small satellite market and had developed innovative spacecraft that included better payload mass fraction, power, data processing, and pointing accuracy than other small satellites and showed the potential to be a disruptive technology to the large and very expensive satellites traditionally used for Department of Defense and NASA missions.
Straight Flight, Inc.
SNC acquisitioned Straight Flight, Inc. (SFI) and Straight Flight Conversions, Inc. (SFC).
